Enid R. Brenize, E-RYT
My yoga teaching is rooted in the traditional style of Ashtanga yoga but inspired by flowing, dance-like movement and functional mobility training. I firmly believe that yoga is for all bodies and brains, and that yoga should make us feel better. In teaching, I combine my studies of anatomy, neuroscience, prana flow yoga, yoga for TBI & PTSD, and my experience with various injuries to create a practice that is accessible and powerful. After over ten years of teaching and 1500+ contact hours, I have a huge appreciation for the human body, mind and soul!
Styles: Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Pilates
Certifications: 200-hr E-RYT, currently pursuing 500-hr with Yoga Medicine, Yoga for TBI & PTSD with Warriors at Ease, Yin Yoga 50-hr, Myofascial Release 20-hr.
"I believe that yoga is as much about your brain as your biceps. At the intersection of brain and body—where neurons fire alongside heartstrings and hamstrings—that is where I practice yoga. In my classes you'll stretch in ways that feels wonderful, strengthen your body intelligently for useful mobility, and most of all, you'll connect your breath, brain and body."
