Lauren is not only brilliant but the kindest person you'll ever meet. Her method connects your body head to toe by releasing the muscles we over use and engaging the muscles that are weak. Her method rebalances your structure and builds true strength from the inside out. After a few months of taking classes at Studio27, I feel stronger at 40 than I've ever felt in my 30s and 20s. And it's fun...everyone in class is working hard and laughing together at the same time.
Studio 27 Method is truly an amazing form of movement. Lauren could not be more aware and nurturing of each individual in her approach. This method allows an arising of whole body awareness from which every person can benefit. Lauren encourages students to be curious about what works and what does not in each individual body. She is curious about what works in your body, as well, which is so validating. Be prepared for revelations in the process. I highly recommend Lauren and Studio 27!
Oh goodness where do I begin! I started pilates while living in the Bay Area after having reconstructive ankle surgery about a year ago, and as such, needing a shift in my exercise routine. Since then (and I know it hasn't been that long...), BUT I have seen my fair share of instructors. I traveled for a good portion of the summer so I have taken classes in California, Nevada, Texas, and now more recently South Carolina. So, it was during my first class with Lauren when I immediately knew she was different, in the absolute best way.
She was extremely attentive to each of us in the class, and remarkably technical. Her ques speak to exactly what I need to improve my form and have helped me so much. My complaining of constant low back stiffness seems to be improving much more drastically than anything else I have tried. Each class she teaches is tailored precisely to who is present, and has continued to help me since that first class.
Lauren's knowledge of movement and ability to apply it to each of her clients' needs is unlike anything I have experienced. I look forward to learning more and more with/from her each week!
Always an active person, I thought I fully understood what my body could and could not do. Boy, was I wrong! Lauren’s combination of body movements, from a wide range of disciplines, helps access muscles and connections in the body that tap into more strength, flexibility and grace than I ever thought possible. Lauren’s classes are not a one size fits all, as she is constantly adjusting movements for each student to ensure our bodies are moving at their individual best. You would be hard pressed to find someone with as much experience and passion for understanding how our bodies move and function than Lauren and that knowledge translates into the most effective body wellness program I’ve ever done. I cannot recommend Lauren and Studio 27 Method highly enough.

Studio 27 Method is unlike any other workout I've done, Lauren has truly created something amazing. At other places felt like needed to torture myself to do it "right". Studio 27 Method has taught me different!!! The classes are engaging and challenging, the people are welcoming, and I LOVE going! The days I go to Studio 27 Method are my favorite days of the week. As a result I'm living a more active life, working out 5-6 days a week (I can't believe I'm writing that, but it's true!) and my body is feeling better than ever. The hip pain that I've lived with for years is even starting to subside. You'll love the small class sizes and personalized attention. I can't recommend Studio 27 Method more highly, it's incredible!
Attending classes with Lauren has changed the game for me. The small session size, personalized exercises, and attention to detail is exactly what I needed. You not only build up your strength, but are also able to be a part of a great community. Would definitely recommend Studio 27 to people of all ages looking for a whole body exercise (combo of barre, Pilates, spring wall, etc.) that you look forward to every week!

I can’t say enough good things about Studio 27. The Pilates class I took tonight was exactly what I needed - an amazing workout, deep breathing, and amazing support from a knowledgeable instructor. I know that tomorrow I will feel all of the muscles I worked tonight but the class was so meditative I honestly forgot I was working out. Lauren is a phenomenal teacher and I cannot wait to go back for my next class!!
